Suspect in fatal shooting surrenders to Everett police
EVERETT -- A Marysville man wanted in connection with the Aug. 13 fatal shooting at a south Everett apartment building turned himself in to police late Saturday.
Eric "Icky" Lee Lowe, 22, who was accompanied by his lawyer, was booked into Snohomish County Jail shortly after 7 p.m. without talking to detectives, Everett Police Department Sgt. Robert Goetz said.
Investigators allege that Lowe, 22, was involved in the robbery at the Bluffs Apartments that left a man dead and another with head injuries. Prosecutors Friday also charged Matelepuna "June Bug" Malu with first-degree murder. He was arrested Wednesday and is being held on $2 million bail.
Lowe and Malu are accused of breaking into an apartment Aug.13 and beating Alonzo "Ocho" Lopez-Gonzalez, 22. Lopez-Gonzalez was then shot in the back after either being pushed or jumping from a second-story balcony.
Detectives had searched for Lowe, charged Friday in Snohomish County Superior Court with first degree-murder, since the incident.
Police also are looking for Jeffrey Scott Cleator Jr., 25, whom they say they want to speak with about the killing.
