OBAMA'S RELIGION

He has fostered the confusion

The liberal mainstream media and their sympathetic pundits are in a quandary as to why recent polls show that up to 24 percent of Americans believe President Obama is a Muslim. Perhaps even more interesting is that 44 percent state they do not know what religion he practices.

It is not surprising to many as Obama on many occasions has made statements to foster these opinions. In an interview in the April 5, 2004 Chicago Sun Times, Obama, when questioned about his faith, was quoted as saying "There are many paths to the same place." Since then, while professing to be a Christian, he has repeatedly said that he believes not in "Individual salvation, but in collective salvation." This was probably absorbed while attending for 20 years Rev. Wright's "Black liberation theology church" in Chicago, which preaches this belief.

Christians who follow the New Testament of the Bible believe in individual salvation. That to experience salvation one must be "born again" of the spirit, and this is through Christ.

Even dismissing Obama bowing to the King of Saudi Arabia and his many efforts of outreach to Muslims, is it any wonder that so many of the public, especially Christians, are confused about his faith?
