Seahawks trade CB Josh Wilson to Ravens
In a bit of surprising news, the Seahawks have traded CB Josh Wilson to Baltimore. The team reported the trade is for a conditional 2011 pick, which according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, is a fifth-rounder.
Wilson, who had been going back and forth with Kelly Jennings in the starting lineup did practice with the team today. Wilson, a second-round pick in 2007, has started 23 games for the Seahawks, and has also served as the team's kick returner.
The move puts Kelly Jennings in the drivers seat to start at corner along with Marcus Trufant, and would seem to indicate that the team has liked what it has seen out of rookie Walter Thurmond. If Seattle sticks with its current personnel at corner, this also means Roy Lewis, who has had a strong preseason, is now almost certain to make the team.
