Second suspect sought in Arlington home-invasion robbery
ARLINGTON -- Police on Friday were looking for a second suspect in a home-invasion robbery earlier this week.
Around 11:30 p.m. Monday, two men allegedly forced their way into a home in the 400 block of E. Gilman Avenue in Arlington. They held four people inside at gunpoint, said Kristin Banfield, Arlington assistant city administrator. The attackers demanded valuables and cash, threatening to kill the victims, Banfield said. The victims kept a toddler hidden under blankets during the robbery, according to police records.
The attackers punched at least one victim and ran off with a small safe. On Thursday, police booked a Stanwood man, 25, for investigation of first-degree robbery and first-degree burglary in the case.
The man had past arrests for assault, burglary, reckless driving and eluding, Banfield said.
Police are working leads about the second suspect. They urge anyone with information about the robbery, including the whereabouts of the second suspect, to call 360-403-3400.
