Prep volleyball: Everett 3, Shorecrest 2

SHORELINE — Everett clinched a berth in the 3A District 1 playoffs, winning the Wesco 3A match by scores of 23-25, 25-14, 24-26, 25-23 and 15-13. Mackenzie Banta had 44 assists, Emily Liger had 28 kills and 21 digs, Jody Barhanovich had 35 digs and Loretta Forrest had seven kills and four digs for Everett (4-2 league, 7-3 overall). Marina Stoermer had 12 kills, Elisa Ahern had seven kills and six blocks and Stephanie Taylor had 21 assists for Shorecrest (2-4, 3-7).
