The season for frights has arrived.
“Many, many people have a fear of clowns,” Jody Bossert said. “It’s called ‘coulrophobia,’ and evil clowns are actually a pretty common theme among haunted attractions.”
So Bossert, a Bothell business owner, ran with that theme and got some volunteers to work as scary Halloween clowns, made up a spooky cemetery and added some 3D blacklight effects to a haunted house. The final result? The Clown Cemetery Haunted House.
Once inside this house of scares, Bossert said, visitors wearing 3D glasses will find frightful visages coming to life.
The cemetery is recommended only for “the bravest souls ages 10 and older,” according to press materials.
The Clown Cemetery Haunted House is inside Jump City, a Bothell bouncy-house facility, where it also will be possible for younger guests, whose parents have planned ahead, to find some less-haunted, more rambunctious fun.
The Clown Cemetery Haunted House’s “Semi-scary for kids” option at Jump Planet is intended for ages 2 to 12 and takes place only on Oct. 31, Bossert said.
