Athletes of the Week for Oct. 20
DeVante Downs
Mountlake Terrace High School
The freshman running back rushed for 96 yards on 23 carries and scored four touchdowns to help lead Mountlake Terrace to a 35-0 victory over Shorewood in a Wesco 3A football game Oct. 15 at Shoreline Stadium.
Amia Nash
Edmonds-Woodway High School
The senior runner took first place at the Edmonds District girls cross country championships Oct. 14 at Lynndale Park. Nash finished the 2.8-mile course in 18 minutes, 18 seconds and helped the Warriors to the team title.
