Prep girls soccer: Snohomish 3, Edmonds-Woodway 0

SNOHOMISH — Snohomish took advantage of a couple of quick strikes to win the loser-out 4A District playoff game. Grace Nelson scoreed unassisted 44 seconds into the game and Courtney Johnson (Lauren Johnson assist) scored 44 seconds into second half for the Panthers third goal. Snohomish’s Brooke Pingrey got an assist on an E-W own goal in the 32nd minute. Melssa Dreves and Ashley Holten shared time in goal for Snohomish, which plays Kamiak at 7 p.m. Monday in a winner-to-state semifinal.
