Mukilteo police released surveillance video this week showing the arson that destroyed a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints building here in October.

You also can watch the video here. If you're on the Sirens main page, you can view the video by clicking on the headline of this post.

The video came from a camera at nearby Kamiak High School. It is a little hard to view without some context. The camera was on its side because of a recent roofing project, Mukilteo detective Lance Smith said.

The timestamp on the video is not exact. It's off by about 90 seconds, give or take.

At :01 in the clip, you can see the flash of the Molotov cocktail being lit. At about :07, you can see the smoke and flames start.

Within three minutes, the back of the church was fully involved.

Police urge anyone with information about the arson to call 800-55-ARSON (800-552-7766). A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to a conviction.
