Driver hits pole, tree near Mountlake Terrace

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — A man was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle on Friday night after his car hit a telephone pole and a tree.
The crash was reported about 7:15 p.m., said Leslie Hynes, a spokeswoman with Snohomish County Fire District 1. The man was in the 20700 block of Larch Way, north of Mountlake Terrace and east of Lynnwood.
The car hit the pole and then knocked down a fairly large tree, Hynes said. The tree was blocking the road for awhile after the crash.
The man’s injuries were life-threatening, Hynes said. He appeared to be in his 40s.
