Fox Sports KRKO 1380 AM will host a weekly radio show about the NLL and the Washington Stealth starting Jan. 6.

This has been in the works for a while and the Washington Stealth finally announced their plans to partner with local Fox Sports radio affiliate KRKO 1380 AM to hold a weekly Stealth radio program beginning January 6, two days before the season-opening road game against the Colorado Mammoth.

Here's the press release:

The Washington Stealth has partnered with the Everett-based Fox Sports 1380 AM to present the new radio show, “Washington Stealth All-Access." The hour-long show will begin Thursday, January 6 and air weekly, providing listeners with insight and interviews from some of the top players and personnel in the National Lacrosse League.

“The Stealth had an incredible first year in Washington, but even with a championship title we are still the new team in town,” said Stealth Director of Communications Michael Kennett, who will also serve as the show’s host. “The league’s rich history and incredible personalities will make this show special. With ‘Stealth All-Access’, we will give fans an in-depth look into the lacrosse culture, which really is unlike other professional sports.”

The show will preview upcoming NLL and Stealth games through interviews with players and coaches from the Stealth and opposing teams. There will also be a number of interactive components for listeners, including opportunities to win Stealth tickets and merchandise through weekly contests, and call in segments, including a weekly segment with international lacrosse sensation Paul Rabil.

“We will have the only radio show on the planet to have Paul Rabil on weekly,” commented Stealth President David Takata. “For millions of fans, Paul is the face of lacrosse, so it’s an especially rare opportunity for our fans to be able to directly interact with him on a regular basis. Even casual fans are going to be blown away by the access this show provides.”

“Washington Stealth All-Access” will premiere on Thursday, January 6 at 5:30pm and air each week during that time slot. Listen live to the broadcast locally on Fox Sports 1380 AM or catch it anywhere in the world on the web at www.northsound1380.com.
