Earl Thomas named a Pro Bowl alternate

A day after the NFL named a Pro Bowl roster devoid of Seahawks, rookie free safety Earl Thomas was named an alternate to the team, meaning he could be headed to Hawaii if one of the players ahead of him is injured or in the Super Bowl (as of last season, the Pro Bowl happens the weekend before the Super Bowl).
Thomas said he is concerned more with the Seahawks' chance to make the playoffs than an individual honor.
“I feel pretty good about it," he said. ". . . I’m happy to be in that situation, but right now I’m just focused on the game Sunday, and hopefully we can get a win and make the playoffs.”
