MARYSVILLE — Detectives in Marysville are investigating an assault after a 22-year-old man reported he had been “pistol whipped” Thursday.
Officers responded to the 1900 block of First Street to investigate a report of a man who said he was struck by an attacker wielding a firearm. The victim had a head injury.
Police also found what appeared to be two bullet holes in the walls of the apartment.
The man received medical attention at the scene and was taken by aid car to the hospital.
Police do not believe it was a random event, Lt. Darin Rasmussen said.
