CT bus, car collide in Lynnwood; 2 seriously injured

Two people were seriously injured Wednesday morning in a collision involving two cars, a Community Transit bus and a truck.
LYNNWOOD -- Two people were seriously injured Wednesday morning after their car was struck by a Community Transit bus on Highway 99.
The accident happened about 9 a.m. near 40th Avenue W. The southbound lanes of the highway were closed while Washington State Patrol troopers investigated.
Early reports indicated that the bus was southbound on the highway when an oncoming car turned left in front of the bus. The car and bus collided. The driver and passenger in the car were ejected, trooper Mark Francis said.
The car then was pushed into a second vehicle, being driven by a 17-year-old boy. His vehicle struck another car.
The man and woman who were ejected were taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Troopers identified the driver as Yollymar Delgado, 22, of Lynnwood. The identity of his passenger was not immediately available.
Their conditions were not immediately available.
The 17-year-old from Lynnwood was being treated at a local hospital after complaining of neck pain, Francis said.
No one on the bus was seriously injured, he said.
