So long, it’s been good to know ya: Harold Camping, the Oakland, Calif., minister who has predicted Saturday as the Rapture for God-fearing Christians and the beginning of the end for everybody else, remarks that God is using the media to get Camping’s message out. “And my, my has the media been busy with me,” Camping said.
Enjoy the attention while you can, Mr. Camping. Once you’re gone all that we’ll have left to content ourselves will be Arnold Schwarzenegger, Charlie Sheen, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, Justin Bieber, Congress (all of them), Kim Jong Il, Donald Trump, Wall Street bankers (all of them), Lindsay Lohan, Gilbert Gottfried, NFL owners (all of them), Moammar Gadhafi, Mel Gibson, Julian Assange, the oil industry, drivers who camp in the left lane, the cast of “Jersey Shore” and Fred Phelps and the Westboro Baptist Church.
