What is your favorite outdoor dining spot?
Any day now, you will have the best meal you've had all year. It could be some greasy fish ‘n chips, a crispy salad or chilly ice cream. You will indulge yourself by the beach, on a patio or on the sidewalk. You will be outdoors and whatever you eat, it will taste great.
Hands down the best thing about warmer days is drinking and dining al fresco.
Summer may be a couple of weeks off, but the patios and decks of South County restaurants are open for outdoor drinking and dining.
Paired with a seasonaL menu and a refreshing beverage, suddenly the seductive open air atmosphere becomes impossible to resist.
Seaside vistas may be the favorite sunny day attraction, but there are plenty of other outdoor tables to enjoy refreshments under the stars. There are tucked away patios, sidewalk spaces, gracious gardens and lakefront oasis.
Remember to bring your sunglasses and sunscreen. Call ahead and see if reservations are accepted at the outdoor venue of your choice.
Even on a drippy Northwest day or nippy evening restaurateurs urge diners to enjoy the season. Some spots chase those chills away with heaters, fire features or stacks of blankets standing ready to embrace fresh air loving patrons.
Where is your favorite spot to drink and dine in the fresh air? What makes the spot sparkle? Let us know at dining@weeklyherald.com. Include your name and city of residence.
Five Restaurant Bistro has a lovely secluded patio with plenty of heaters, and the cocktail choices are incredible. Try a Sazerac! For lunch, the sunny patio at Las Brisas is a good choice.

Frost Donuts. I love LOVE love Frost donuts! It's so nice walking around Mill Creek Town Center and taking a break to eat some yummy donuts and watch the cars drive by. My kids ADORE the sprinkled chocolate donuts too.

My husband and I discovered how good the dining experience can be when I took him out for his birthday to Anthony's Home Port in Edmonds! It was our very first time there and we enjoyed ourselves. They have an amazing ‘Dinners at Sunset' 4 course dinner, including desert all for $19.95!! I cannot say enough GOOD things about this restaurant, including stellar service!

For well over 10 years we have been eating at least once a week in Brier at their only restaurant, and it's the biggest business in Brier's downtown. Five years ago Brier Pizza's new owners, Taki and Trisha, began remodeling and had to double its size, as increasing patrons kept leaving standing room only. They now also provide outdoor seating under umbrellas, and after sunset one can enjoy a canopy of starlight skies along Brier Road, in the quiet of this little country town.

The Beach Cafe at Anthony's on the Edmonds waterfront. Good food, incredible view and wonderful breeze off the water.
