Two members of Waco Boys gang sentenced for drug trafficking

SEATTLE -- Two Everett gang members were sentenced Friday in federal court for their part in a drug trafficking operation that peddled highly addictive painkillers in Snohomish County.

Ryan Nicely, 24, and Jose Lugo, 28, are members of the Waco Boys, an Everett-based gang that came to the attention of federal authorities and the Snohomish Regional Drug and Gang Task Force a few years ago.

Nicely and Lugo were accused of selling OxyContin to undercover officers and informants more than a dozen times in 2009 and 2010.

Nicely was sentenced to 71/2 years in federal prison for drugs and gun possession. Lugo received a four-year sentence.

Both men will be under federal supervision once they are released. A third man is scheduled to be sentenced later this week.
