Attic fire damages Lake Goodwin home

LAKE GOODWIN -- An early morning attic fire on Friday started with an electrical problem, officials said.

Callers reported an attic on fire about 1:30 a.m. in the 15000 block of Sturtevant Avenue, near Lake Goodwin.

The fire in the two-story home was extinguished within 20 minutes, Marysville Fire Marshal Tom Maloney said. Crews from Marysville, Tulalip, Stanwood, North County fire and Silvana responded.

Damage was estimated at $100,000.
