Arlington: Tribe adds gas station at casino

Angel of the Winds Casino is adding a gas station at the southeast corner of the casino parking lot, 3438 Stoluckquamish Lane.

Stillaguamish Tribal officials said the tribe is happy to build a new enterprise and offer the service to the community.

Free camp teaches about environment

The Stilly-Snohomish Fisheries Enhancement Task Force is offering a free day camp for students who will be in middle school and high school in the fall.

The camp is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday, July 22, at Arlington High School, 18821 Crown Ridge Blvd. Students will need to bring their own lunches.

Task Force volunteers plan to have students visit a local river and a Puget Sound beach, perform water quality testing, learn about maps and prepare a community outreach program.

See Red Rooster Route farms this weekend

People can visit the farms on the Red Rooster Route from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday primarily along Highway 530 in the Arlington area.

Pick up a road rally stamp card at participating farms and the Stillaguamish Pioneer Museum, turn in your card and be entered to win prizes from the farms, which include Biringer Farm, Garden Treasures, Foster's Produce and Bryant Blueberry Farm.

Kids can enjoy farm animals, hay rides and balloons.

Granite Falls: Full lane closure July 25

A full road closure is planned for July 25 on Robe-Menzel Road.

Snohomish County road maintenance crews plan to close Robe-Menzel Road between 84th Street NE and Scherrer Road from 7:30 a.m. on July 25 to 5 p.m. on Sept. 2. Crews are set to replace a culvert in conjunction with the Snohomish County Department of Public Works Surface Water Management Culvert Replacement Project.

Traffic is not expected to return to working order until the project is completed. A detour route will be posted.

Marysville: Free concert, screening

The Marysville Parks and Recreation's Sounds of Summer Concert Series and Movie Series continues today and Saturday.

The group Soul Purpose is set to bring blues, funk and rock music to the stage at 7 tonight at Jennings Park, 6915 Armar Road.

A free screening of "Mama Mia" is scheduled to begin at dusk Saturday at the park. Nonperishable food donations will be accepted for the Marysville Community Food Bank at the concert and movie screening.
