Everett: Proposed hikes to golf, swim fees
The Everett Parks Board has recommended the city raise fees at two golf courses, Walter E. Hall and Legion Memorial, and the swim center at Forest Park.
In the past several years, the city has begun reviewing green fees and swim center fees every year, and usually nudging them up each time.
If passed, it would cost $3 for youth and $3.25 for adults to use the pool next year, both 25 cent hikes.
Under the golf proposal, green fees at Walter Hall would be $34 for a peak season weekend round, up from $32.
At Legion Memorial, golfing a round at that same time would cost $37, up from $36.
Walter Hall's fees are going up more than Legion because officials believe these two courses should be priced comparably.
The matter isn't a done deal yet; the City Council still must approve the proposal.
The date of that vote hasn't yet been made public.
