2-year-old boy survives fall from four-story window

EVERETT -- A 2-year-old boy appeared to be OK on Monday after he fell four stories from a window.

The boy fell just before 3:15 p.m. at an apartment building in the 200 block of Elm Street, said Matt Keller, an acting battalion chief with the Everett Fire Department.

The boy fell into a flowerbed that had about 18 inches of mulch in it, Keller said.

The boy was taken to a local hospital. His injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

Additional details were not available Monday.
