Front Porch: Tractors on parade in Monroe

Antique tractor show

The Sky Valley Stock and Antique Tractor Club is planning its 23rd annual show this week.

The show will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday at the Frohning Farm, 19524 Tualco Loop Road, Monroe. Events include a tractor parade, daily pancake breakfast, entertainment and kids activities.

Admission is $6 for adults, free for children under 12. Seniors get in free on Aug. 12.

Adoption event: Folks at NOAH plan an adoption event at 10 a.m. Saturday at 31300 Brandstrom Road in Stanwood.

They will remain open until 100 dogs, cats, puppies and kittens find homes. There will be live music, a barbecue and 15 percent off in the gift shop.

Teen fun in Terrace: Saturday, teens in Mountlake Terrace will set off from the library and find 50 clues to photograph. Then return to the library and build a mini-golf hole with your team using random scrap items.

The final challenge will be to compete against the other teams on the newly made mini-golf course.

It's planned from noon to 4 p.m. at 23300 58th Ave. W.
