    Athletes run out of the water after finishing the 1.2-mile swimming section of the Ironman race in Lake Stevens on Sunday.

About 1,400 triathletes competed in the annual Ironman 70.3 Triathlon in Lake Stevens on Sunday. The event started with a 1.2-mile out-and-back swim, followed by a 56-mile bike ride and a 13.1-mile run. Results will be posted on the event's site.
