Mariners' 2012 schedule: Interleague vs. NL West; Red Sox visit twice, Yankees once

Major League Baseball this morning announced its tentative schedule for 2012 (tentative because game times are not yet set), and the Mariners will open on the road for the fourth straight year, April 6 at Oakland.
The home opener will be April 13 ( a Friday) against the A’s.
The Mariners will play the National League West in interleague games, including home series in June against the Giants and Dodgers.
A few highlights of the 2012 schedule:
• The Yankees visit Seattle only once, for three games July 23-25.
• The Red Sox play two series at Safeco Field, four games June 28-July 1 and three Sept. 3-4.
• Interleague home games will be June 8-10 against the Dodgers, June 12-14 against the Padres and June 15-17 against the Giants.
• The Mariners’ interleague road trips will be May 18-20 at Colorado, June 18-20 at Arizona and June 22-24 at San Diego.
