Dan Hinkley to speak at Molbak's Sept. 23

Dan Hinkley, a well-known local plant expert and collector, will present a special after-hours talk on fall and winter plants at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23 at Molbak's Garden + Home, 13625 NE 175th St., Woodinville.

Hinkley, founder of the famous but former Heronswood gardens in Kingston, will address garden designs for fall and winter gardens, including perennials, vines, trees and shrubs.

He will share photographs on good garden design, noting texture, balance and repetition with an emphasis on berries, bark, flowers and fragrance in late autumn and winter gardening.
