Lane closed at night on Mukilteo Speedway




MUKILTEO – Work to improve bicycle safety and access on Highway 525 at Paine Field Boulevard begins with lane and access closures at night this week. Drivers should expect short delays and allow extra time for their trips.

Crews are scheduled to close one lane of northbound and southbound Highway 525 near Paine Field Boulevard tonight through Thursday for grinding work. The lanes will close at 8 p.m. each night and reopen by 4 a.m. the following day.

The exits from Highway 525 to Paine Field Boulevard and from Paine Field Boulevard to Highway 525 also will close each of the four nights.

The exit from Highway 525 to Paine Field Boulevard will close at 7 p.m. each night and reopen by 6 a.m. the next day. The exit from Paine Field Boulevard to Highway 525 will close at 7 p.m. each night and reopen by 2 p.m. the following afternoon. Signed detours will be provided.

This work is part of a project to fill in a gap in the bicycle lane along Highway 525. For more information, visit the state's project page.
