Why do I have to read a Washington, D.C., paper to know what is going on back there? Why have we not heard about the current administration’s bullying tactics that are clear infringement of the right of free speech?
Note: Reporter Dan Howes of the Detroit Free Press reported on Sept. 27, that the White House had leaned on Ford to pull an ad from TV and the Internet, as it was critical of federal bailout money! Remember the administration threatened health insurers for candidly speaking out about their rising premiums due to Obamacare mandates. They also attacked John Deere, Caterpillar, Verizon and AT&T for speaking out about the implications of the financial burdens that Obamacare would impose.
And, has anyone figured out why the administration siezed Gibson guitars from their factory, and what about the threat to whistleblowers who exposed the “Fast and Furious” gun racket at the Mexican border?
Also, what about the bullied situation with the Pleasanton, Calif., Weekly because they had an article that made Michelle Obama look “snooty,” and the San Francisco Chronicle punished for a print pool reporter using a cellphone to record video of protesters at an Obama fund raiser? And then there was the WFAA-TV reporter dressed down by the president for interrupting him, as well as the Boston Herald for running a front page op-ed by Mitt Romney.
These all seem to be common knowledge in Washington, but the White House denies any wrongdoing. I fear for our freedoms, and our free press, unless of course, the press is controled by the liberals.
