CLEARVIEW -- A man on a motorcycle was hospitalized Monday morning after striking another vehicle in the Clearview area in south Snohomish County.
The crash happened just after 7 a.m. near the intersection of Highway 9 and 176th Street SE, according to a Washington State Patrol memo.
Traffic was stopped on the highway when the motorcyclist, 48, of Monroe, reportedly drove onto the shoulder to avoid hitting other vehicles. A Kia Soul driven by a Snohomish girl, 17, was turning onto 176th Street SE.
The motorcyclist collided with the Kia. He was taken to a local hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life threatening. The driver of the Kia was uninjured.
