'Toy Story 3' takes to the ice tonight

Disney on Ice's "Toy Story 3" brings to life Woody and the entire gang from Andy's toy chest.

The show is full of action and athletic skating. It's fun for grown-ups and kids even if they haven't seen the animated films.

During the first half of the ice show, the real-life skaters re-tell what happened in the first two films. After an intermission, the skaters explore the emotional tale of Andy's coming-of-age, and what happens to a child's toy when a boy goes to college, the plot to "Toy Story 3."

This is perhaps the only ice show that features Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head on skates.

Plus, expect to see Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy when they make a special appearance.

Disney on Ice's "Toy Story 3" is scheduled for 7:30 tonight; 11:30 a.m., 3:30 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday; and 1 and 5 p.m. Sunday at Comcast Arena Everett, 2000 Hewitt Ave., Everett.

Tickets are $16, $18, $25, $40 for VIP and $65 for rinkside. Buy tickets at 866-332-8499, comcastarenaeverett.com or disneyonice.com.
