Also, entrance fees are waived at national parks from Friday through Sunday to honor military veterans.
Arlington
A Veterans Day Parade begins at 11 a.m. Friday on Olympic Avenue. A free veterans dinner is planned for 1 p.m. Friday at the American Legion Post 76, 115 N. Olympic Ave.
Edmonds
North Sound Church honors veterans at 8:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday at 404 Bell St. and at 9:15 a.m. Sunday at Edmonds Conference Center, 201 Fourth Ave. N.
A Veterans Day tour is planned for 11 a.m. Friday at Edmonds Memorial Cemetery, 820 15th St. SW in Edmonds. Learn about veterans buried in the cemetery. For more information, call Dale Hoggins at 425-776-1543.
Everett
A Veterans Day Tribute is planned for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at Imagine Children’s Museum, 1502 Wall St. Make a “brick” for those who served our country. Free admission for veterans. See a PBR (patrol boat river) and meet Vietnam veterans.
A ceremony is planned at 11 a.m. Friday at the Snohomish County Courthouse Eternal Flame, 3000 Rockefeller Ave. in Everett. It’s planned by the Snohomish County Central Memorial Committee.
Navy Yacht Club Everett offers an informal Veterans Day observance at 3 p.m. Friday at the 12th Street Marina visitors float. All branches of service will be honored.
A Free Veterans Day Memorial Concert is planned for 7:30 p.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church, 2936 Rockefeller Ave., Everett. Hear choirs from Trinity Episcopal, Our Savior’s Lutheran, The Everett Chorale, Trinity Lutheran College, Cascade Brass Quintet and the Chancel and Handbell Choirs of First Presbyterian Church.
Everett Elks Lodge No. 479 Annual Veterans Appreciation Dinner is planned for 5 p.m. Saturday at Everett Elks Lodge, 2802 Hoyt Ave. It costs $10 for non-veterans. Buy a vet a roast beef dinner. Make a reservation by calling 425-308-6133.
Lynnwood
A Veterans Day ceremony is planned for 11 a.m. Friday at Lynnwood Veterans Park Ceremony, 19300 44th Ave. W. With the NW Junior Pipe Band, members of VFW Post 1040 and American Legion Post 37.
Mill Creek
A Veterans Day Ceremony is planned for 11 a.m. Friday at the Veterans Monument in Library Park, 15429 Bothell Everett Highway. The ceremony will include a guest speaker, U.S. Navy Cmdr. Daniel Limberg, executive officer of the Everett Naval Station.
Monroe
A Veterans Day event is planned for 1 p.m. Friday at Veteran’s Memorial Park, intersection of U.S. 2 and Main Street. First ceremony in 50 years. Visit the Monroe Historical Society Museum, 207 E. Main St., after the ceremony to see a Veterans Day exhibit.
