AAA offers refresher course for senior drivers

People older than 65 are the fastest-growing population in the country, according to the American Automobile Association.
The good news is that seniors generally practice safe driving skills. They buckle up and are less likely to speed or drive drunk, AAA says.
Still, seniors are most at risk for serious injury while driving and more likely to be injured in a car crash.
That's one reason why AAA offers its AAA Driver Improvement Program, a refresher course on defensive driving skills.
The class gives practical guidance for traffic-accident prevention, and helps boost confidence and driver safety.
Drivers 55 years and older may qualify for an insurance discount after successfully completing the class.
Registration is required and the course costs $16 per person.
The next class is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Nov. 19, Edmonds Community College, 20000 68th Ave. W., Lynnwood.
Call 206-243-3564 for more information or to register.
