Oregon police investigate Marsyville man for pot

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- A Marysville man is the focus of a criminal investigation in central Oregon after troopers discovered eight pounds of marijuana in the man's car.

An Oregon State Police trooper stopped the man, 26, early Sunday morning for speeding. The man was northbound on I-5 south of Roseburg, Ore.

The trooper reportedly found eight pounds of marijuana stuffed inside two duffel bags inside the trunk of the man's 1993 Honda Accord. The marijuana was valued at about $20,000, according to Oregon authorities.

The man is facing possible charges for unlawful possession and delivery of drugs.

No further information was available. Oregon State Police continue to investigate.
