Go: Night of Christmas Jingles
The ninth annual "A Night of Christmas Jingles" is set for Sunday.
The Kiwanis Club of Snohomish is sponsoring the holiday party along with Hidden Meadows, which hosts events such as weddings.
The free celebration is planned from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hidden Meadows, 11805 Springhetti Road in Snohomish.
Donations of new, unwrapped toys and food will be collected to benefit Hands Helping Hands of Everett and the Snohomish Food Bank.
Wrap: Holiday gift wrapping supports high school
Shoppers can support Lynnwood High School by having their gifts wrapped.
Student and parent volunteers are set to host a gift-wrap booth, with all proceeds supporting the high school's PTSA drug and alcohol-free Graduation Program.
Gift-wrapping fees range from $3 for small packages and $15 for larger packages. Booths near the Santa set at Alderwood Mall are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Dec. 24.
Eat: Holiday pancake breakfast
A pancake breakfast is planned Saturday at the East County Senior Center in Monroe.
The meal of pancakes, eggs, ham, sausage, coffee, milk, and juice is $5 for adults and is $3 for children younger than age 12. Breakfast is set to be served from 8 to 10:30 a.m.
All proceeds are used for the general operating funds of the East County Senior Center located at 276 Sky River Parkway.

Learn: Library program explores air pressure
The Mountlake Terrace Library plans to help people of all ages understand more about air pressure.
Scientists from Mad Science are set to be at the library at 1 p.m. Saturday to help visitors watch a vortex generator at work, ride a hovercraft and see how pressure can be used to create cinematic special effects.
The free program is funded by the Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation. The Mountlake Terrace Library is located at 23300 58th Ave. W.

Beth Trafton, a teacher at Pioneer Elementary School in Arlington, has applied for a $50,000 grant from Pepsi to support the Art Docent Program in the school district.

Purrfect Pals of the Arlington area offers Cat Sponsor Cards, which are available online. Each card purchased allows the shelter to continue to care for the hundreds of sanctuary cats.
These are alternative gifts for cat lovers, officials at the nonprofit said.
