JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD -- Joint Base Lewis-McChord says no public memorial service is planned for all four Army aviators who died Monday night in the crash of two helicopters in a training area of the base.
Spokeswoman Catherine Caruso said the base memorial is limited to family, friends and soldiers in 16th Combat Aviation Brigade.
The News Tribune of Tacoma reported it will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Lewis-North chapel on the base.
The crash killed 25-year-old Capt. Anne M. Montgomery, who grew up in Watford City, N.D.; 36-year-old Chief Warrant Officer Frank A. Buoniconti of Colorado Springs, Colo.; 32-year-old Chief Warrant Officer Lucas Daniel Sigfrid, who went to high school in suburban Minneapolis; and 36-year-old Chief Warrant Officer Shan Joseph Satterfield, who grew up in Anchorage, Alaska.
