Send that email via snail mail

Nowadays we stay in touch by email and Facebook, but there's a company in Seattle that's putting a new twist on an old form of communication.

That twist is called Postcardly. Postcardly turns your emails into tangible, mailbox postcards delivered by the U.S. Postal Service.

Postcardly is for those who may not be computer savvy or who might enjoy a real picture to put in their pocket.

You can send a postcard through Postcardly as if you were sending a normal email with an attached photo using your phone or computer. The photo appears on the front of the postcard, your words on the back.

When you sign up for Postcardly, you'll set up a Postcardly address book, which will have the physical mailing address and a special Postcardly email address for your recipients.

Postcardly email addresses work just like regular email addresses. You can add them into the "to" or "cc" field on any email, and a copy of that email will be sent as a postcard, according to the Postcardly website.

Postcardly has a trial offer for first-time customers of three free postcards when you sign up for the service at Postcardly.com.

You won't be charged until you send the fourth postcard at which time your Postcardly plan automatically will continue at the monthly subscription rate you selected when you signed up.

Postcardly costs $4.99 a month for five postcards, $9.99 a month for 15 postcards, or a one-time charge of $19.99 for 20 prepaid postcards.
