Athletes of the Week -- Dec. 26-31

MARQUIS ARMSTEAD
Mountlake Terrace | Boys basketball
The Hawks guard scored 31 points, including 27 in the first half, to lead Mountlake Terrace to a win over Marysville Pilchuck in the first game of its own holiday tournament. Armstead then scored 13 points and helped keep Snohomish guard Luke Hamlin in check in the Hawks' win over the Panthers on Friday night.

MADELINE AND NATALIE KASPER
Edmonds-Woodway | Girls basketball
The Kasper sisters helped lead the Warriors to a pair of big wins last week. On Tuesday, Madeline (right) scored 31 points, including five 3-pointers, in an overtime win over previously undefeated Shorecrest. Two days later, Natalie had 14 points in the Warriors' win over Lewis and Clark.

Everett | Wrestling
The Seagulls grappler beat the fourth-ranked wrestler in Class 1A, Cutter Grahn of Forks, in their 138-pound match to help Everett place eighth out of 14 schools at The Rock Tournament at Vashon H.S. despite missing five varsity wrestlers.
