ARLINGTON -- The Snohomish County Medical Examiner's Office has finished its part of the investigation into the death of a 4-month-old Arlington boy in November.
Carson Crowder Williams likely suffocated on a plastic grocery bag while napping, police said. His mother, 17, is under investigation in connection with the death, court papers show.
The baby's cause of death was ruled unexpected with a risk factor of an unsafe sleeping environment, the medical examiner concluded. The boy's manner of death remains undetermined.
Snohomish County sheriff's detectives have forwarded their investigation to prosecutors for review.
