Man killed in Lake Stevens-area crash is identified

LAKE STEVENS -- Officials have identified a man killed in a wreck on Highway 92 in the Lake Stevens area last week.

Samuel Hernandez Perez, 28, of Monroe died Dec. 27 near where the highway crosses N. Machias Road, officials said.

Perez was attempting to turn left on the highway when his car was struck by another vehicle. His death was ruled an accident.

The crash closed down the highway for several hours as police investigated.
