Driver sought in intentional hit-and-run in Lake Stevens
LAKE STEVENS -- Police in Lake Stevens were looking for a Marysville man they believe intentionally struck another man with his SUV early Friday afternoon.
The injured man, believed to be in his 50s, was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett with injuries that weren't believed to be life-threatening. He was hit by the SUV and pinned against a parked car, police and fire district officials said.
Lake Stevens Police Chief Randy Celori said a domestic dispute might have led to the confrontation.
The suspect, in his early 30s, was trying to see a woman at a home in the 8900 block of 14th St. SE in Lake Stevens. The woman had a protection order against him.
The man who was hit is a friend of the woman, Celori said.
"It appears to be intentional," the police chief said.
