Early registration ends Sunday for Whidbey writers conference

Sign up now for the 2012 Whidbey Island Writers Conference to save on registration costs.
Early-bird registration ends Sunday.
The conference, scheduled for March 3 and 4, is an opportunity for aspiring writers to meet with writing professionals, literary agents and editors. There also are several workshops planned, event organizers said.
Photojournalist and writer David Handschuh is scheduled to present a keynote address on "Change, Survival and Reflection: One Photojournalist's Transformation into a Travel Writer."
Registration costs $200 for Whidbey Island Writers Association members and $250 for nonmembers through Jan. 15. After that, the costs increase to $250 for members, $290 for nonmembers.
