And DelBene makes 10

The state's most crowded race for Congress got even more crowded today when Democrat Suzan DelBene entered the fray in the 1st Congressional District.
DelBene becomes the seventh Democrat and 10th candidate in a contest to succeed Democratic Rep. Jay Inslee, who is running for governor.
“I did not make this decision lightly. I did my homework before deciding to enter the race. I believe I have the right skills and experience to represent the 1st Congressional District, and I am fully committed to winning,” DelBene said in a press release.
DelBene, a Medina resident, lost to Republican Congressman Dave Reichert in the 8th District 2010.
Redistricting shifted her out of Reichert's district and into the reconfigured 1st District which stretches north from Medina to the Canadian border. It includes a big swath of Snohomish County east of I-5 as well as rural areas of Whatcom and Skagit counties.
She joins a Democratic field comprised of Darcy Burner of Carnation state Sen. Steve Hobbs, D-Lake Stevens, state Rep. Roger Goodman of Kirkland, former state lawmaker Laura Ruderman of Kirkland, businessman Darshan Rauniyar of Bothell and attorney Andrew Hughes of Edmonds.
There are three Republicans – Snohomish County Councilman John Koster, Greg Anders of Bellingham and James Watkins of Kirkland.
