Looking for something to do this weekend? How about some snowshoeing at Stevens Pass?

Visit a park for free: Take a chance to get outside this weekend. From Saturday to Monday, visiting a state or national park will be free. Find more information here and here.

Take the kids: The Lodge, a 7,500-square-foot addition to the Imagine Children's Museum, official opens at 10 a.m. Saturday. Take a look at some pictures of kids checking out the new space here.

Hear Los Lobos: David Hidalgo and Louie Perez are making a rare tour. During more than four decades of playing their blend of Latin rhythms, East L.A. funk and rock 'n' roll, they've earned Grammys, played arenas and produced album after album of great tunes. Now you have a chance to hear them in an intimate setting. They'll be at the 700-seat Edmonds Center for the Arts on Friday. Find the details in our story here.

Go snowshoeing: Share the beauty of the outdoors with your kids and learn about winter ecology on a guided snowshoe walk in the Stevens Pass area. No previous snowshoe experience is required. The walks are offered on Saturday and Sunday. Learn more in our story here.

See the Stealth play: The lacrosse team opens their season at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday at Comcast Arena in Everett. Read our preview story here.

Declutter: If you have extra electronic gear hanging around, now's the time to get rid of it responsibly. A recycling event is planned from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday in Everett. You can recycle many electronic gadgets for free; some require a small fee. Find the details in our story here.

Test drive a tour guide: Rick Steves' travel center will offer more than 20 slide shows on travel to Europe in 2012. The events are free, but you need to register. Some presentations are already full, but a lot still have spaces. Find out more or sign up here.

Railroad show: Explore dozens of model railroad displays and layouts, enjoy hands-on activities and crafts, discover the history of Pacific Northwest Railway museums and take a ride on the Iron Horse Railway kid-sized train. The show is Saturday to Monday at the Pacific Science Center in Seattle. Find more details here.

Plan a wedding: The Northwest Bridal Showcase is Saturday and Sunday at the Tulalip Resort Casino's Chinook and Orca ballrooms. The Tulalip Resort Casino will simultaneously hold its Wedding Open House to showcase its amenities and services. The event will include a gown sale and fashion show. Find details in our story here.

Honor The King: The Experience Music Project is celebrating all things Elvis and the 50th anniversary of his last visit to Seattle. The 2012 Seattle Invitationals are an open call for a few good "Elvi" to perform in front of an audience with a live back-up band, Everett's own The Kentucky Rain Band. The over-21 concert starts at 8 p.m. Saturday. Find more info in our story here.
