U.S. Census reveals an increasingly diverse Snohomish County

Over the past decade, the population of nonwhite or mixed-race people in the United States increased from 24.9 percent to 27.6 percent. In this state, the increase was more pronounced — from 18.2 percent minorities in 2000 to 22.7 percent in 2010. Snohomish County saw an even greater increase, proportionally, from 14.4 percent in 2000 to 21.6 percent.
