Snow plow driver hospitalized after being injured while operating plow

LYNNWOOD -- A snow plow operator was hospitalized Tuesday after suffering a serious cut while driving the plow.
The injury was reported about 3:45 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of 188th Street SW and 36th Avenue W in Lynnwood, officials said.
A man, 45, was operating the plow when the rig came to a sudden stop for an unknown reason, officials said. The man struck something inside the cab and suffered a gash to his scalp. The wound was estimated to be about 10 inches long.
The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. His injuries weren't expected to be life-threatening.
