Children in kindergarten through fifth-grade are invited to an evening full of stories, songs, crafts, treats and a pajama fashion show between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Saturday, at the Mukilteo Library, 4675 Harbour Pointe Blvd.

Shred your papers and raise money: The Lynnwood High School FCCLA Club is organizing a shred-a-thon as a way to inform the community about how to prevent identity theft and also as a club fundraiser.
The event is scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. Jan. 28, at the Target parking lot of Alderwood mall, 18305 Alderwood Mall Parkway, Lynnwood.
Suggested donations are $5 for a small box or bag, and $10 for a large box or bag.
Sew thoughtful: The Clothing and Textile Advisors of Snohomish County is organizing a community sewing project to donate quilts to the CICU at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
Anyone interested in sewing can join in 10 a.m., Friday, at the Evergreen Room, McCollum Park, 600 128th St. SE.
Materials are provided, but if possible, bring your own sewing machine and basic sewing tools.
