Sno-GLOBE Equality Alliance film festival Sunday in Everett

The Sno-GLOBE Equality Alliance will showcase three films in its inaugural film festival. The films look at the lives of lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and transgender people, sharing their stories.

The 2012 Winter Film Festival runs from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Snohomish County Public Utility District Auditorium, 2320 California St., Everett.

The films:

"Inlaws & Outlaws": "It's marriage from the inside and out." The writer and filmmaker Drew Emery will attend this showing with a special introduction and will stay afterward for a question and answer session.

"2011 Web Cam Confessions": A film short highlighting some of the voices of the Snohomish County Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning Youth community. This eight-minute short covers topics of identity, coming out, bullying, religion and other issues important to them.

"Out in America": A moving, diverse portrait of LGBT Americans with a collection of transformative stories and inspiring personal narratives told through the lens of the country's most prominent LGBT figures and pioneers, as well as many average, yet extraordinary, citizens from gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender communities.

For more information about the film festival, email outreachproject@hotmail.com or go to the Snohomish County Sno-GLOBE Equality Alliance Event website at www.snoglobe.us.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at www.brownpapertickets.com/event/217007.
