2009 Kentucky Derby winner Mine That Bird

Most kids are familiar with Angry Birds, but we bet not many know Mine That Bird.

They're about to find out, as a trilogy of children's graphic novels is in the works on the remarkable horse that won the Kentucky Derby in 2009 despite 50-to-1 odds.

To introduce the novels and a soon-to-be-made animated film, the publishers are holding a contest to meet Mine That Bird and spend a day at the ranch in Roswell, N.M., learning what it's like to train and ride a racehorse. To enter the Be a Jockey for a Day contest, go to www.MineThatBird.com and share the page on Facebook or Twitter.

The first two novels in the trilogy, "At the Gate" and "In the Stretch" can also be ordered on the site for $12.95 each.
