Police investigate explosions at Edmonds-Woodway High School

EDMONDS -- Police here are investigating two explosions reported Monday morning at Edmonds-Woodway High School.

Two garbage cans exploded about 11:40 a.m. in the cafe area of the school, according to a letter that principal Michelle Trifunovic sent to parents. No injuries were reported.

Fire officials determined that the explosions were from some kind of homemade bomb, according to the letter.

Anyone with information is asked to call Edmonds Police at 425-771-0200.
