School bus involved in collision; no one on board injured
MUKILTEO -- A school bus carrying 32 students to Endeavour Elementary in Mukilteo was involved in a collision Wednesday morning.
No one on board was hurt, Mukilteo School District spokesman Andy Muntz said.
The bus either was stopped or slowly approaching the stop sign on Center Road at Highway 99 when it was struck, Muntz said.
The road intersects Highway 99 between the La Palmera restaurant and the Home Depot store.
A young driver headed southbound on Highway 99 made a quick left turn across the northbound lanes and apparently cut the corner too tight. His car collided with the front of the school bus, Muntz said.
"We have no reports of any injuries among those aboard the school bus," Muntz said. "The young driver of the car reportedly had a bloody nose."
The Washington State Patrol was called to investigate.
