A lot to 'Like'




The Face that launched a $5 billion IPO: The social network Facebook has filed with federal regulators to sell shares publicly with the hopes of raising $5 billion to expand its audience beyond its current 845 million users.

Among proposals for use of the $5 billion dollars: Farm subsidies for those playing FarmVille, upgrading of the "poke" feature to "gently prod" and extending each member's personal "Timeline" back to the Big Bang.

What a pill: Pharmaceutical company Pfizer announced it was recalling 1 million packets of birth control pills because it believed a manufacturing error mixed up active and placebo pills in as few as 30 packets.

So, along with the births of all those little Jacobs and Isabellas, expect about bouncing baby 30 Pfizers this September.

Men in black: Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, R-Cayman Islands, who said he's "not concerned about the very poor because they have an ample safety net," could soon be accompanied by Secret Service agents. Protection is offered to major presidential candidates who have raised a certain amount of money.

It's also offered to those candidates who were born with a silver foot in their mouths.
